Donna C. Carey, M.D.
First lady Dr. Donna C. Carey is a dynamic, energetic, and powerful woman of God. A native of Tulare, Ca, she is affectionately known as "Dr. Donna." Dr. Donna is passionate about the spiritual, emotional, and physical health of her community. She is especially devoted to issues relating to children and women. Her goal is to empower everyone to live a life of purpose in Christ!
Dr. Donna is a native of Tulare, CA. She received both her Bachelor of Arts in History and her Medical Doctorate degrees from University of CA, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Donna completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital and Research Institute (CHORI) at Oakland. After residency, Dr. Donna completed a one year fellowship in adolescent medicine at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Currently, Dr. Donna is a staff physician at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, but plans to enter private practice later this year.
Dr. Donna is passionate about the spiritual, physical, and
emotional health of her community. Currently, Dr. Donna is an associate physician in private practice.
Dr. Donna is is an active ministry leader. She coordinates an annual health fair that runs in conjunction with True Vine's annual "Block Party." She serves as director of True Vine's "Women of Faith" women's ministry and True Vine's health ministry. Dr. Donna also facilitates a monthly women's empowerment forum entitiled "SistaTalk" and coordinates True Vine's annual women's conference. As a wife, a professional, and a mother, Dr. Donna understands the balancing act of today's women! She and Pastor Zach are the proud parents of Trinity Alexis.
